Main Preparatory Academy's Mission

Main Preparatory Academy, serving grades K-5, is dedicated to improving the lives of its students by providing authentic learning experiences in a collaborative, nurturing environment that will build a foundation for students success in school, at future work, and in life.

To achieve the mission, our school will integrate current learning technologies into the classroom, offer authentic learning experiences that are respectful of how children learn best, and offer a schedule and support activities that enable each student to achieve to his or her potential. We want our students to leave the School with the skills and abilities necessary to achieve academic excellence, personal growth, and success as lifelong learners. This mission requires the support of the faculty, staff, families, and community in order to encourage and empower students to be responsible and valued citizens.

"Every child deserves a champion – an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be."  -Rita Pierson

Update on School Opening

Main Prep Families,

As many of you may have heard, there was a fire in our building back in July. We have been working diligently to repair the damage so we could open on time and without issue.

As of yesterday, the building inspector had already given a verbal approval for a partial occupancy. The final step of approval was the fire inspection—which took place today—to determine whether they would sign off on occupancy as well.

The fire marshall recommended a delayed opening on Tuesday, September 6th and approved the building for occupancy starting that day. The safety of our students and staff is our main priority, so we agree with the fire marshall. School will resume for the 2016–2017 school year on Tuesday, September 6th.

We want to emphasize that this should not affect our school year in any way other than that our Main Prep students get two extra days of summer break this year! The remainder of the year will proceed as scheduled and expected.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday!

School Uniforms

We are so pleased that you have chosen Main Preparatory for your child's educational needs. As a member of the Main Prep family we have all students wear uniforms. We feel that uniforms are a great way to show school pride and prevents bullying. Below are the Main Prep uniform requirements:

Dress Code: Students must be in uniform every day unless students earn dress down privleges.
